Baroda Public School - Baroda Public School, Vadodara (Gujarat)

Students of Std. I to IV will be divided into four houses. Various competitions will be held throughout the year and points will be awarded to the outstanding house will be awarded a trophy at the end of the year.

The houses are divided as follows:

ARYANS: Arya means pure or good in Sanskrit. In the holy Vedas the good people were called Arya. Most of the language spoken in the north are considered Aryan languages. The Aryans arrived in North India from Iran and Southern Russia around 1500BC.

DRAVIDIANS: Dravida people are the descendants of the vedic Turvasha people. Dravidians are believed to be of African origin. Their religion was based on the worship of life-giving forces in nature. All the major languages used in south India are of Dravidian origin, Tamil being the root language.

SPARTANS : The Spartans did the work of constant training for athletics and for war. They were taught to develop keenness, quickness, caution and other war like qualities. Naturally, they were celebrated as warriors.

TITANS : In Greek mythology, Titans are children of Uranus. The titans are also known as elder gods. They had super natural powers. The titans is considered as best warrior community.
